The club members agreed at the AGM last month that the Club would meet the costs of the DECA examination ($25 each), taken by beekeepers who were members as at 31^st May 1999. The examination will need to be taken at a club organised event in order to qualify for this subsidy.

It was provisionally agreed that the club would organise a field day, followed by the examination on 2^nd October. This will be confirmed at the September meeting.

Other opportunities will be organised in the Hutt Valley and on the Kapiti Coast later in the season. Members living in these areas may find it more convenient to attend these events.

Members are reminded that their annual subscriptions are now due. Please complete the form on page 4 and send to the Treasurer, Mary-Ann Lindsay. Those members who have not paid by September will cease to receive newsletters.
